Catherine Webster

LL.B. - Solicitor

Catherine Webster was born in Mackay but still does not consider herself a local, having left and come back three times and lived in various Queensland towns in between.

She completed high school in Mackay, then went to Queensland University of Technology, in Brisbane, to obtain her law degree, having wanted to be a lawyer “for a long time”.

Following university, Catherine came back to Mackay because her family was here and she felt it was a “great place” to live. She commenced two years as an Articled Clerk with Macrossan & Amiet in January 2005.

During her articles she worked with all the partners, gaining experience in all areas of law, and she was admitted as a Solicitor in January 2007.

Catherine has an enquiring mind – she always enjoyed debating at school – and one of her strengths is resolving legal issues that are a bit out of the ordinary.

Her areas of expertise are commercial law, leasing and property transactions, residential and business conveyancing, wills and estates and family law.

Catherine loves the feeling of accomplishment when she’s achieved a great result for a client and is very pleased to be working for a firm that has an “outstanding” reputation.

When not at work Catherine loves spending time with family and friends, visiting interesting places, watching movies, reading and doing scrapbooking and other paper crafts.
