On 1st July 2002 David O'Connell joined the firm as a partner. Clients will be familiar with David as he has been a solicitor since 1991 and with Macrossan & Amiet since 1994. David works in the commercial and business law section of the firm with business transactions, property transactions, leasing, commercial litigation, partnership matters and taxation law.
His practical experience in this area is enhanced by his university studies which in addition
to his law degree, include a Graduate Diploma of Taxation Law and Master of Business
Administration. David's outside work interests include his honorary positions as a Solicitor
for a number of non-profit organisations including CQ Helicopter Rescue Service 
and the
Mackay & District Rugby Union for which he is chairman on the Judiciary and is also a Director and Company Secretary of VAE Railway Systems the Australian subsidiary of Voest-Alpine GmbH of Austria.
David’s time away from the office is spent doing endurance triathlons like Ironman and competitive cycling.
