Sarah Robertson

BCom LLB (Hons) - Solicitor

Sarah Robertson is a Brisbanite who has 'migrated north' to Mackay with her partner to make the most of new career opportunities and 'discover a new part of Queensland'.

Having graduated from the University of Queensland in 2006 with an honours degree in law and a second degree in commerce, Sarah joined Macrossan & Amiet in January 2007 as a trainee solicitor.

She was thrilled to have gained a position with "one of the largest law firms in Queensland outside Brisbane and one with a respected reputation throughout the state" and was admitted as a solicitor in January 2008.

Sarah loves achieving positive outcomes for clients - whether it be the purchase of a new home or settling a multi-million dollar deal - and feels that law puts her 'argumentative nature' to good use! She has recently become treasurer of the Mackay District Law Association.

She considers herself to be a perfectionist with a 'good enough is not good enough' attitude, and is also tenacious, thorough and a good organiser. If she had not become a solicitor she would have considered studying psychology .

Sarah's motto is to live life to the full and she has previously lived overseas, studied foreign languages and danced as a professional cheerleader.

When not at work she likes to keep active, running on the beach with her dog, browsing bookstores, attending concerts and cultural events and watching her partner play football.
