Congratulations to Lucy Guye of our Mackay office who was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in Brisbane on 7 June 2021. Barrister Michael de Waard moved her admission before Chief Justice Catherine Holmes. She was also joined by her parents, Ashley and Melanie, who travelled from Byron Bay to attend the ceremony.
Lucy grew up in Victoria on a dairy farm until she was 13. Her family then moved to Byron Bay and she lived there until 2018 when she graduated from Byron Bay High School and moved to study at Bond University on the Gold Coast. She graduated in 2020 with First Class honours.
In October 2020 Lucy moved to Mackay to work at Macrossan and Amiet and commenced as a trainee solicitor in December of that year.
Being new to the area, in her downtime Lucy enjoys exploring the region. You can otherwise find her enjoying quiet leisure time on the weekends reading a good book or catching up with friends at a café.
