Macrossan and Amiet has, for the last few years, advertised in the Airlie Beach Rotary Club Phone Guide. Each year the main advertisers in the phone book are asked to nominate a worthy recipient of an amount equivalent to one half of the cost of the advertisement. It is a mechanism by which the Airlie Beach Rotary Club has directed millions of dollars back into the community and one that
should be applauded.
This year, Macrossan & Amiet chose to direct our allocation of funds to the Whitsunday Weightlifting Club. This club has formed in the last 12 – 18 months and is the passion of husband and wife Steve and Leanne Knox.
Many of the Club members have become like family members to Steve and Leanne. Members have gained
national and even international representation. Whilst the Club is relatively small it comprises a group of people who are very dedicated to their sport.
Macrossan and Amiet has been happy to provide some assistance to the Club in allocating these funds which will be used to buy more new equipment. The Club can be contacted on Facebook:
