Honours student Dane admitted into the profession

On February 18, 2008, Dane Lang was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland.

Originally from Kingaroy, in the South Burnett region of Queensland, Dane joined Macrossan & Amiet’s Cannonvale office after completing his law degree at Griffith University, in Brisbane.

Dane graduated with a dual degree in law and commerce in 2006, receiving honours in law.

Following graduation, Dane and his wife Laura moved to the Whitsundays where Dane completed the one year of practical legal training required for admission as a solicitor.

Dane undertook practical legal training with Partner Andrew Telford in the Cannonvale office, while studying supplementary units through the Queensland College of Law.

Dane was admitted as a solicitor by newly-appointed Justice McMeekin at the Supreme Court, in Rockhampton.

In what was his first admissions ceremony as a Justice of Queensland’s highest Court, Justice McMeekin made particular mention of the high regard Macrossan &Amiet enjoys in the region and the advantage of completing practical legal training with the firm.

Dane now joins the team of solicitors in the Whitsundays working out of both the Cannonvale and Proserpine offices.
