M&A Charitable Foundation 2017 Distribution

The Macrossan & Amiet Charitable Foundation recently held its Trustee meeting to determine the annual distributions for 2017.

On Thursday 21 September 2017 presentations will be held for the Macrossan & Amiet Charitable Foundation in both Mackay and Cannonvale.  Distributions totalling $62,028.50 will be made to 14 different charitable organisations within the Mackay and Whitsunday regions.  Included in the 2017 distributions are provision for bursaries totalling $4,000 to be granted to year 11 students across 8 high school in the region.  The successful recipients of the bursaries will be determined by the school’s principal based on merit.

The Trustees of the Macrossan & Amiet Charitable Foundation take great pride and pleasure in announcing this year’s successful applicants:-

Kidney Support Network                        $4,711.50
Mackay Chaplaincy Committee on behalf of Scripture Union Qld                        $5,000.00

Mackay Ostomy Support Group                        $5,000.00
Mackay Surf Lifesaving Club                        $2,364.00
RACQ Rescue                        $4,000.00
Sarina & District Community Kindergarten                        $1,000.00
St Vincent de Paul Society Qld                        $3,455.00
YIRS One Stop Youth Shop                        $5,000.00
Mens Shed Airlie Beach                        $5,778.00
Volunteer Marine Rescue Whitsunday                        $4,920.00

The Macrossan & Amiet Charitable Foundation has now distributed $572,614.08 to local charities.

The Macrossan & Amiet Charitable Foundation has grown to now hold over $1.1M in capital.  One of the most pleasing aspects of the Foundation is that all of the income is available for distribution each year, as all administration costs are met by Macrossan & Amiet Solicitors.   We are also grateful to SH Tait & Co who undertake the Foundation’s accounting and audit services on a pro bono basis.
