The Macrossan & Amiet Charitable Foundation recently held its Trustee meeting to determine the annual distributions for 2018.

On Thursday 20 September 2018 presentations will be held for the Macrossan & Amiet Charitable Foundation in both Mackay and Cannonvale.  Distributions totalling $60,209.54 will be made to 15  different charitable organisations within the Mackay and Whitsunday regions plus a provision for bursaries totalling $4,000 to be granted to year 11 students across 8 high schools in the region.  The successful recipients of the bursaries will be determined by the school’s principal based on merit.

The Macrossan & Amiet Charitable Foundation has now distributed $632,823.62 to local charities since its inception and has grown to hold over $1.1M in capital.  One of the most pleasing aspects of the Foundation is that all of the income is available for distribution each year, as all administration costs are met by Macrossan & Amiet Solicitors.   We are also grateful to SH Tait & Co who undertake the Foundation’s accounting and audit services on a pro bono basis.
