For the first time one recipient Autism Queensland used its donation to assist in the purchase of a vehicle for use of its staff in the region.  Chairman of Trustees, Gene Paterson, indicated his pleasure on behalf of his fellow Trustees that the Foundation was again able to assist a significant number of worthwhile causes throughout the regions of Mackay Regional Council, Whitsunday Regional Council and the Isaac Regional Council.

It was a similar story in Proserpine where Trustee, Andrew Telford, made the presentation to representatives of the Collinsville Community Association, Proserpine Homes for Aged Persons Society Inc and the Proserpine Public Kindergarten.  The donation to the Proserpine Public Kindergarten Inc was the culmination of a five year pledge totalling $10,000.00 which is to be utilised in the current building project replacing the existing premises which were constructed in 1916.

The Foundation makes a distribution to charities and organisations each year.  Applications are required to be submitted by 30th June with the distributions being made after the applications have been considered by the Trustees.  Application forms can be accessed on the website www.macamiet.com.au.
