The Directors of Macrossan & Amiet Solicitors are saddened to advise of the passing of former solicitor and partner of our firm, Michael Stuart Cathie White, on 5 November, 2024.
Michael commenced employment at Macrossan & Amiet Solicitors in 1960 (the same year as former managing partner the late Tony Ghusn).
Michael became a partner at Macrossan & Amiet Solicitors on 14 February 1966, the same day as the introduction of decimal currency. Michael was also a Director of Pioneer Permanent Building Society. He continued his service to our clients and the region until 1985 when he resigned to take up work in Brisbane as an Executive Director of the Queensland Law Society, and later became the Registrar of the Magistrates Court in Brisbane.
Michael will be remembered as a true gentleman.
