Over and Out

Friday 28 June 2019 will mark my last official day with the firm after 34 years and I move to retirement.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many clients that I have been able to serve over those 34 years.  I have been truly humbled by the level of support that I have received but it has been a pleasure in serving those clients many of whom I now consider close personal friends.

I would like to name all of those clients but that would be an impossible task and if I were to name them I would no doubt miss people out which would not be fitting.  A very large number of my clients have been with me for the majority of my time with the firm which I greatly appreciate.

At this time, I would also like to thank our loyal staff who have been with the firm during my time, some of whom have been with the firm longer than myself.  A legal firm does not function without good staff and our firm has been blessed with quality people supporting our lawyers.  To all of those staff I thank you most sincerely for the support that you have given me.

I thank my partners for their support, good counsel and comradery.

Macrossan & Amiet is a great firm and I believe that it has achieved a respected reputation for the provision of legal services.  Next year the firm will celebrate 125 years since it was founded by Fred MacNish which is testament to the quality of the service provided to the region.  It is not only the provision of legal services where the firm excels.  The Macrossan & Amiet Charitable Foundation makes a significant contribution to the community each year through donations to community and charitable organisations to assist in their projects.  The partners provide pro bono work for community and sporting organisations and they play an active role in these community and sporting organisations.

With my retirement, the firm will introduce three new Directors in Samantha Sticklan, Paul Formosa and Caitlin Roberts.  This marks a new era for the firm particularly with the appointment of Samantha and Caitlin as the first female Directors and I am comfortable in the knowledge that the firm is in great hands moving forward.

In retirement I am intending to develop Barbara’s and my small grazing enterprise at “Pinevale” and I am looking forward to that challenge.

Once again thank you all.
