Macrossan & Amiet are pleased to announce that Samantha Sticklan has joined the firm as a Senior Associate. Samantha is a Queensland Law Society Accredited Family Law Specialist who has practised in Family Law in Mackay for 14 years.
Samantha has a passion for Family Law and is recognised by clients and peers for her ability in all aspects of Family Law. Samantha is also known for her willingness to go the extra mile for her clients to ensure that they can navigate the stress of separation, and the legal process with a minimum of stress.
“Family Law has always been appealing to me because of the personal nature of the work. It is an area of law where you are able to help people through what can be one of the most harrowing times of their life and hopefully do your bit to make the process less draining” explains Samantha,
As a Family Lawyer I believe that my job is not just about providing Family Legal advice, but about keeping my clients on the right path.
Helping clients to separate the emotions they might be feeling from the practical resolution of a matter can be just as important as the legal advice provided.
I hold the view that neither party benefits from an extended drawn out separation and I run my client files with that fact in forefront of mind.”
Samantha is an active member of the Mackay Community and is involved as a volunteer with ArtSpace Mackay Foundation, the Mackay Community Legal Centre and the BMA Marina Run.

Samantha Sticklan commenced with Macrossan & Amiet in February 2018. Samantha grew up in Northern NSW, relocating to Brisbane to attend boarding school and later obtaining her law degree at Griffith University.
In 2004 Samantha relocated to Mackay to take up employment as an Articled Clerk. Samantha was previously employed by another local practice for 14 years, during which time she was successful in obtaining recognition as an Accredited Family Law Specialist by the Qld Law Society.
Samantha is a mother and wife, and when not working keeps her stress levels at bay by taking part in a variety of physical pursuits.
Samantha is an active member of the Mackay Community, currently volunteering with Artspace Mackay Foundation, the Mackay Community Legal Centre and the BMA Mackay Marina Run.
