Alex joined the Cannonvale team in July this year as a graduate solicitor. She completed her secondary education at Townsville’s The Cathedral School where she discovered her interest in becoming a lawyer during year 10 Legal Studies. Alex attended James Cook University and was initially enrolled in a dual degree of Bachelor of Laws and Business majoring in Economics, however, after 12 months decided to focus her study solely on law, which she was more passionate about. In the future, Alex wishes to go back and complete her business degree. During Alex’s time at JCU, she was a tutor for indigenous law students who were in their first and second years.
Alex practices in residential and commercial conveyancing including off the plan transactions, business transactions, lease and property transactions.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys going to the beach to tan, weightlifting in the gym, going for walks with an iced latte in hand.

Alex Woods commenced with Macrossan & Amiet Solicitors in July 2024 as a graduate solicitor, having completed being admitted to the Supreme Court in December 2023.
Alex grew up in Townsville and Mount Isa. She completed her secondary education at Townsville’s The Cathedral School where she discovered her interest in becoming a lawyer during year 10 Legal Studies. Alex attended James Cook University and was initially enrolled in a dual degree of Bachelor of Laws and Business majoring in Economics, however, after 12 months decided to focus her study solely on law, which she was more passionate about. In the future, Alex wishes to go back and complete her business degree. During Alex’s time at JCU, she was a tutor for indigenous law students who were in their first and second years.
Following Alex’s admission, she remained in Townsville work a local firm while travelling weekly back to Proserpine to visit her partner and when a position opened up in the Cannonvale office, she jumped at the opportunity to relocate.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the beach to tan, weightlifting in the gym, going for walks with an iced latte in hand.
