Darren Sekac commenced with the firm on 6 July 1992 after relocating from Melbourne where he had completed his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Melbourne.
Darren was admitted as a Partner of the firm on 1 July 1998.
In that year, he was one of the first solicitors in Queensland to be accredited by the Queensland Law Society as a specialist in the civil litigation field of personal injuries law and he maintains that accreditation acting for both injured parties and employers.
His personal injuries experience includes obtaining a settlement for over $12M in a complex case for a foreign national who suffered tetraplegia following a motor vehicle rollover and had to be medically repatriated to their homeland.
Darren now has 28 years of experience at the firm and enjoys a diverse practice in the areas of practice listed below.
He is currently the honorary solicitor for a number of community not-for-profit organisations such as Central Queensland Helicopter Rescue Service Limited and the Mackay Senior Citizens Association Inc. Darren is a Director serving on the boards of Whitsunday Anglican School and the Macrossan & Amiet Charitable Foundation.
Darren is married to Jodie and together they have Sam and Ava at school. He lives at the Gold Coast with his family and splits his time between Mackay and the Gold Coast.
