Nicola Fossey

Nicola was born in Pretoria, South Africa, and moved to Australia with her family after completing high school in 2013. She initially settled in Yeppoon before relocating to Mackay with her husband in 2019.
After moving to Mackay, Nicola commenced working at a local law firm as a paralegal while completing her Bachelor of Laws through Central Queensland University by distance education. Working full-time throughout her studies allowed her to develop strong practical experience across a range of legal matters before being admitted as a lawyer in 2024. In May 2026, Nicola joined the team at Macrossan & Amiet Solicitors.
Nicola practises primarily in property and commercial law, with particular interests in commercial and residential conveyancing (including rural transactions), business sales and purchases, leasing, business and commercial matters, and estate planning.
She is actively involved in the local professional community as a committee member of both the Mackay District Law Association and Young Professionals Mackay, where she assists with planning networking events within the Mackay business community.
Outside of work, Nicola enjoys running, reading, and travelling to new places.
