2025 M&A Charitable Foundation Presentation

The Trustees of the Macrossan and Amiet Charitable Foundation met on 22 August 2025 for the annual meeting to decide the grant recipients for 2025.  This meeting also marked a heartfelt farewell to Trustee Deirdre Comerford, who is retiring after 30 years of dedicated service.  Deidre has been a Trustee of the Foundation since the very beginning of the foundation when it was established in 1995.

Deirdre’s input, views and wealth of experience in governance and leadership will be missed by the Foundation but her input will leave a longstanding legacy of generosity for our local communities. Her contributions have made a significant contribution to the success of the Foundation and its growth since inception.

The Trustees of the Macrossan and Amiet Charitable Foundation along with the Directors and Staff of Macrossan & Amiet Solicitors give a heartfelt thank you to Deirdre for her service to the foundation for the past 30 years.

Macrossan & Amiet Charitable Foundation then held its presentation day on 26 September to distribute a total of $119,251.01 to this year’s successful applicants.  These funds will provide vital support for a wide variety of worthwhile projects, helping strengthen and enrich the communities across the Mackay, Whitsunday, and Bowen regions.

Including this years distributions, the total amount distributed to local organisations and not-for-profit organisations since the foundations inception is $1,298,183.51.
