Macrossan & Amiet Solicitors are delighted to announce solicitors, Samantha Sticklan, Paul Formosa & Caitlin Roberts have been appointed Directors of the firm. Samantha, Paul & Caitlin will join existing Directors, Gene Paterson, Pat Carroll, John Formosa, Darren Sekac, Stuart Naylor and Andrew Telford as Directors at Macrossan & Amiet and are looking forward to the next step in their Careers.
Macrossan & Amiet Solicitors have always been proactive when it comes to business planning and their approach to succession planning is no exception. Renewal is a vital aspect to maintaining success for most businesses and the team at Macrossan & Amiet continue to focus on the future of the firm, which includes incorporating youth into the firms group of Directors which includes their first two female Directors. This young team of Directors will have youth on their side along with passion for the law and their Law Firm.
Macrossan & Amiet Solicitors is one of Queensland’s most reputable law firms and has been serving the people of Mackay and the surrounding districts since 1895 and have always looked forward and by appointing their first ever female Directors they again lead the way. At a young age, Paul, Samantha & Caitlin bring a younger person’s outlook and life experience to the table which is valuable for the firm as it moves forward.
Samantha has been practicing law since 2004 when she relocated to Mackay fresh out of University. Having grown up in a small country town in Northern NSW with a Father who practiced as a solicitor, it’s not surprising to her that she has ended up at Macrossan & Amiet. “When I started working at Macrossan & Amiet Solicitors in 2018 I immediately felt like I was home. What I love is that the firm is filled to the brim with knowledge and experience and the Directors are more than happy to share their experience with everyone at the firm. It’s fantastic to continue my career not only at Macrossan & Amiet Solicitors but as a Director of the firm.
Many in the region will know the name John Formosa but may not realise his son Paul, who joined the firm in 2010 also works at the Law Firm. Paul Formosa joins Pat Carroll as a second-generation Director in the business which is a testament to the firms approach to business and its employees and shows it is a family at its core. Paul is excited to be following in his father’s footsteps at the firm and becoming Director cements his commitment to the firm and his clients but also his passion for the region.
Caitlin Roberts has the unique status of being the first female owner in Macrossan & Amiet’s long history and now joins Samantha as the first two female Directors in the firm’s history and the firm is extremely proud to have them come on board as Directors. Caitlin has been with the firm since 2013 and works in all areas of Civil Litigation including Personal Injury and other insurance claims, Estate litigation, Employment, Debt collection & Family matters. Caitlin has strong ties to our community and is a Director of Zonta Club of Mackay, Chairperson of CASA and is a trustee of the Macrossan & Amiet Charitable Foundation.
