Volunteer Marine Rescue Mackay was formed in May of 1965 after a boating accident in our area which claimed three lives. Unlike other land-based rescue and related volunteer organizations, VMR Mackay are not provided with their equipment and uniforms and/or all of their funding from Government.

Mackay’s first motel, “The Bona Vista Motel” and residence, currently owned by our client Rick Shelley and his company Residential Developments, was demolished and construction on the fifteen unit development has now finished.
Dudley Denny Library
During construction of the recently opened Dudley Denny Library, there was some concern or trepidation by members of the public, although it has only been opened for several months the number of patrons using the library has at least doubled. Not only will you experience the traditional library such as the availability to borrow books, you will also experience a myriad of other activities and facilities that one could not possibly expect to be found in a traditional library.
Financial Stress
It is probably no surprise to the readers of this article that there are many people in our community that are currently experiencing financial stress in one way or another. If there is one common mistake that people make when they find themselves in a default situation, with either their bank or a some other creditor, is that they simply ignore the problem and/or make promises to the bank/creditor that they simply cannot meet.
The Winchester Foundation
The Winchester Foundation support many country families and children with their secondary and tertiary education expenses and our firm and I are happy to provide continued support. The Winchester Foundation also supports children from country primary schools to attend the Whitsunday Voices Youth Literature Festival and is a major sponsor of the Isolated Children’s and Parent’s Association State Conference.
